Photos: New Leidos headquarters building completed

The 17FIFTY building in Reston Town Center, which is being entirely leased to Leidos, appears to be completed. Although not currently in use due to the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, the building is occupiable and security is present in the finished lobby.

The building is the final construction in the latest phase of Reston Town Center’s development, which includes the nearby Signature apartment towers. The office tower replaced low-rise retail, and the apartments were built in place of the last remaining surface parking lot in Reston’s urban core. The retail units on the first floor have yet to be finished.

Boston Properties has not yet announced any other new construction on the existing town center blocks. Any expansion within the urban core would require a change to the zoning. The company is currently focusing on the new mixed-use development south of the W&OD trail.
