Situated at the main entrance to MITRE Corporation’s campus in Tysons, this building was constructed as one of the first new highrise buildings allowed near the McLean Metro station under the 2010 Tysons Comprehensive Plan. The 14-story, 255-foot tall office building opened in 2016 just a block from the Metro, and development is currently in progress on three neighboring residential and hotel buildings to fill the empty lots along the way.

MITRE provides research and development support for the Federal Government and is one of the largest employers in Fairfax County. Since the move to the fast-growing area in 2001, MITRE has grown from one building to the current four. The company recently received county approval to build up to four additional interconnected buildings with office and lab space, including an adjoining twin office building approved to be built directly to the east of Building 4.

Other companies with a major presence in the neighborhood include Northrop Grumman and Capital One, the latter of which is progressing on a significant mixed-use expansion to its corporate headquarters.
